🚕 Avoid Taxi Scams

Taxi scams are rare in Paris, but the airports are where they happen. A few habits keep you safe:

• Only take a taxi from the official taxi rank outside the terminal — never from someone who approaches you inside.
• Real Paris taxis have a roof “TAXI” light and a working meter.
• From CDG and Orly there is a fixed flat fare into central Paris — know it before you set off.
• Pay by card where you can, and always ask for a receipt.
